If you need screen repair work, I highly recommend Tri County Screen (John Howard), you may have seen his banner ads on this site. Tri County Screen is a "mobile" screen repair company, so they come directly to your home and make the repairs on-site. Super convenient as opposed to dropping your screens off somewhere and waiting 2 to 3 weeks. His costs are very reasonable and the work is top-notch. Give John a call at 973-796-4561. I was referred to Tri-County Screen by a good friend who works with our county housing department. Tri-County returned my call promptly and we set up a date and a time for him to come to my home. He arrived on time that day. After a quick inspection of my screen doors and windows that needed to be re-screened I was given a very reasonable price quote. After I gave him the ok on the price he went to work on replacing the damaged screens working right in my garage (it was threaten rain). He did an excellent job. In my opinion after seeing his work he is more than a repairman. He is a craftsman. We recently had Tri County Screen come out and install a pet-resistant screen on our entire screened in porch, which was a big job. They came out and gave a fair estimate and were very pleasant to deal. They scheduled the job quickly and came and completed it in one day. They were always on-time and did a great job. We're very happy with the results!
I called John Howard yesterday about repairing some screens in my house. I could get one screen out of the window but I was having trouble with the other. He told me that he would be at my house at 9:30 in the morning and that he would remove the screen I was having trouble with. He showed up PROMPTLY and repaired both screens right on our driveway and then put them back in the windows. He will remove the screens, repair them and then replace them in the window. That doesn't sound like a big deal until you have trouble taking one out of the window! Excellent job. Excellent service. Excellent attitude! Why would you lug your torn screens to your hardware store? How do you fit window or storm door screens into your car? What do you do without your screens for a "few days" or "maybe a week or two". The answer?..call Tri County Screen! John Howard (owner) does the repairs himself right in your driveway! His prices are very reasonable and who knew that you have different screen material options? (I just love the pet guard screens!) Also we had two front door screens that needed to be replaced. After going to two local hardware stores that advertise screen repairs, we learned the screens could not be repaired. Apparently the design of the doors presented a problem. John examined the screens, researched with the manufacturer and was able to order the screen material necessary to make the repair. The doors look great! We have recommended Tri County Screen to friends and business colleagues. Colleen and Mike Hruska Dover, NJ
Top Notch Service
Finding screen replacements for "unmarked" doors is a royal PITA. I almost replaced the storm door ($$$) on the front of my house due to not being able to easily find a screen insert for this door. After a quick Google search, Tri-County popped up....had good reviews, so I figured I would call. John (Howard), the owner, promptly called me back to schedule an appointment to come look at my storm door. John showed up on time (early Saturday morning) and I was pleasantly surprised by his professionalism, no BS sales and the fact that he told me that a new screen was a non-issue and he'd get it done for me. After a quick estimate, he assured me a screen insert could certainly be built and he could do it right on the spot if I were interested. I took him up on the offer and had a new insert in my door within an hour. Very happy with John's service and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for screen repair or new screens in general. A class act....contractors ought to take notes from him
Same Day Quality Service By mglass
My very old custom-built screen door had been a mess for more than a year, that is until this morning. I saw a banner ad on a local website and called Tri County and left a message at 8am. By 10am I had spoken to John and he told me he'd drive by to take a look. He called me promptly to give me a quote and some advice and by 3pm I met him at my house, the work complete. He did an excellent job replacing my beat-up old screens with new pet resistant screens and I thought the price was really reasonable, especially for on-site service. I'd recommend John and Tri County to anyone.

John came and did a great job rescreening a couple of windows and a sliding patio screen door. He took his time, did it right and his quality was great. I would definitely recommend Tri County Screen to anyone
